(Tuesday 26th June 2018)
Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth has signed a new deal running until June 2023. The news was announced during a special programme on local radio station Wycombe Sound on Tuesday evening (26th June 2018). Commenting on the news, Club Sporting Director Andrew Howard said: “Quite simply, Gareth is the perfect fit for Wycombe Wanderers and extending his contract here is a fantastic and important piece of business. Meanwhile, Ainsworth said: "Every day I am proud to be manager of this football club and I will always give everything I’ve got to improve myself as a manager and to take the Club as far forward as we can." He added: "I’m extremely grateful to the board for offering me this new contract and to the support of all my staff and players for getting right behind me from the day I walked through the door. I want to give a special mention also to the fans, who have backed me fantastically and I really appreciate all the support I’ve had from them.
