(Tuesday 27th September 2016)
Wanderers' registered their biggest margin of victory in a League game for three and a half years, with a scintillating 5-1 drubbing of Crewe Alexandra. Sam Wood, Paris Cowan-Hall, Dominic Gape and two goals from substitute Scott Kashket sealed the biggest League win since beating York City 4-0 in February 2013 and the first five goal total since Hartlepool were demolished 5-0 in February 2012.

CARLISLE 1 WYCOMBE 0
(Saturday 24th September 2016)
Wanderers succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at Carlisle United and dropped to 21st spot in the table after a solitary goal from Shaun Miller on 57 minutes was enough to keep The Cumbrians unbeaten run in the League intact. But Wycombe followers and Manager Gareth Ainsworth were bemoaning their bad luck after seeing Matt Bloomfield and debutant Scott Kashket see chances hit the woodwork, while a late penalty claim for a trip on Dominic Gape, added to the frustration on the longest trip of the season.

WYCOMBE 1 STEVENAGE 0
(Saturday 17th September 2016)
Wanderers recorded their first League win for a month with solitary goal from Dayle Southwell enough to see off Stevenage at Adams Park. Southwell was the one change to the Wycombe side that had lost 4-2 at Portsmouth the previous Saturday - the summer signing replacing Danny Rowe. The winning goal came in first-half stoppage time when Southwell tapped in at the far post from a Sam Wood cut-back. The result shifts Wycombe up to 19th in the table.

PORTSMOUTH 4 WYCOMBE 1
(Saturday 10th September 2016)
Wanderers conceeded four goals for the second successive game as they lost 4-2 at Portsmouth. The defeat came after Paul Hayes had fired Wycombe into a 10th minute lead. But Wycombe went in 3-2 down at the break and then proceeded to accumulate seven yellow cards as their composure went out of the window. Wanderers remain three from the bottom of the table with five points from their opening seven games. Unless fortunes change soon, it looks like a long hard season ahead.

LUTON 4 WYCOMBE 1
(Saturday 3rd September 2016)
Wanderers dropped to 22nd place in League Two as they crashed 4-1 at new leaders Luton Town. Team news saw Gareth Ainsworth stick with the same starting XI that had won 3-0 at Northampton the previous Tuesday. That meant no return for Aaron Pierre just a few days after a transfer deadline move away from the Adams Park was rejected by the Club. On the bench were new deadline day signings Scott Kashket and Dominic Gape. This was the first time Wanderers had conceeded four goals since losing 4-1 at Rochdale in March 2013 and Manager Gareth Ainsworth will be keen to stop the rot, starting with the trip to Portsmouth next Saturday.
