HAUSE JOINS WOLVES

Wanderers' 18 year old defender Kortney Hause has joined
League One Wolverhampton Wanderers for an 'undisclosed fee' on a deal running until June 2016. The news was officially confirmed at around 10.20pm on transfer deadline day (31 January 2014). Hause joined Wycombe in February 2012 having previously spent time with the West Ham Youth setup. He went on to make his Wanderers First Team debut in the FA Cup game at Crewe in November 2012, aged 17 and had totalled 31 First Team apps, scoring twice, during his time with Wycombe. NEW GK COACH JOINS

Wanderers confirmed the appointment of Barry Richardson as the Club’s new goalkeeping coach on Thursday. The 44 year old, who was teammates with Manager Gareth Ainsworth during spells at Preston North End and Lincoln City, replaces Lee Harrison, who joined West Ham United at the start of January. Following a playing career that clocked up more than 500 appearances, Richardson gained UEFA A coaching licences plus goalkeeping coaching experience with Doncaster Rovers, Nottingham Forest, Cheltenham Town and Peterborough United. He has also been registered as a non-contract player with the Wanderers and has been allocated the No.44 in the squad. |

WYCOMBE 0 PORSTMOUTH 1

Luck did not shine on Wanderers on Tuesday evening at Adams Park as they went down 1-0 to Portsmouth. The only goal of the game came in the 50th minute when a soft penalty was awarded for a foul by Gary Doherty on Wes Fogden. Ryan Taylor converted from the spot for what was the visitors only shot on target during the 90 minutes. Wanderers are now down to 21st in the table, just three points above the relegation zone.

MANSFIELD 2 WYCOMBE 2

Wanderers threw away a two goal lead as they drew 2-2 at fellow strugglers Mansfield Town. New signings Jordan Mustoe and Reece Styche were given their debuts in the starting line-up, while
Anthony Jeffrey also appeared as substitute during a final twenty minutes when Wycombe had their backs to the wall. Wanderers are now 19th in the table, three points above the relegation zone.

MAX SIGNS A NEW DEAL

The Club confirmed on Friday that midfielder Max Kretzschmar had signed a new deal with the Wanderers that now runs until June 2016. The former Youth Teamer burst into First Team action this season when he scored twice in the 2-1 victory at Hartlepool in September 2013. He has since totalled 26 First Team apps (including 9 starts) and bagged another goal when he scored the winner in the 1-0 success at Bristol Rovers on 19 October 2013. Speaking of the deal on the official website, the 20 year old said “I’m delighted. I joined at 14 and I’ve grown up with Wycombe Wanderers which has been a big part of my life. As a young player, it’s important to get games under your belt. The best thing for my development is to stay here and keep giving my all for Wycombe." |

ANOTHER STRIKER ON LOAN

Wanderers confirmed another signing on Thursday afternoon with the arrival of striker Reece Styche on loan from Conference National side Forest Green Rovers until the end of the season. The 24 year old has netted 37 times in 77 appearances since joining Rovers in January 2010. Injury problems have stiffled his progress in recent times but his goalscoring potential has impressed Gareth Ainsworth since the Wanderers met Rovers in a pre-season friendly in July 2012. He has been allocated the No.27 in the Wanderers squad. |

EX-GUNNER STRIKER SIGNED

Wanderers confirmed on Thursday afternoon the arrival of striker Anthony Jeffrey on a permanent deal following his release from Arsenal the previous day. The 19 year old has signed until the end of the current campaign with the Club having the option of a further year. Jeffrey joined The Gunners at the age of 8 and progressed through their ranks to play for their U21 side in October 2012. However, with First Team chances limited at Arsenal, he was loaned to Stevenage in March 2013 until the end of that season and made his senior debut during a solitary substitute appearance against Bournemouth on 12 March 2013. In December 2013 he joined Conference South side Boreham Wood on loan and bagged six goals in nine appearances before the news was revealed on 22 January 2014 that his contract with Arsenal had been terminated by mutual consent. He has been allocated the No.15 in the Wanderers squad. |

WANDERERS OUT OF B&B

Wanderers were eliminated from the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup on Tuesday evening - losing 4-2 on penalties to Beaconsfield SYCOB after the tie had ended 2-2 after extra-time. The semi-final tie saw Gareth Ainsworth named in the starting line-up but he saw the hosts get off to a flyer when former Wycombe Youth Teamer Tom O’Regan curled in a free-kick from 25 yards after just four minutes. However, Wanderers were level two minutes later when Steven Craig, sent off the previous Saturday and suspended from Football League games, netted from close range after Jo Kuffour had cut the ball back. Beaconsfield regained the lead on 30 minutes when Jon-Joe Bates tapped in after SYCOB had broke from their own half. But Wanderers responded again when a Kuffour shot was deflected past the home 'keeper by Lee Angol on 37 minutes. An even tie, finally saw Wycombe take the lead on 75 minutes when Craig bagged his second of the night with a firm shot following a through ball from Matt Spring. But victory was denied three minutes before the end of the normal time when substitute Kofi Adams headed past Charlie Horlock to send the tie into extra-time. Ainsworth cleared off the line early in the extra period, while Kuffour went closest for Wanderers when he shot wide from 15 yards on 104 minutes. But neither side managed to find the net, so the tie was decided on penalties as follows:

Wanderers are now just two points clear of the relegation zone after another late goal condemned them to a 1-0 home defeat to Oxford United. Nicky Wroe scored the only goal of the game in the 87th minute. Wycombe had been reduced to ten men as early as the 20th minute. Wanderers 8th red card of the season came when Steven Craig was penalised for serious foul play for raising his arm in an aerial challenge with John Mullins. It set Wycombe on the back foot for the remainder of the game and with Paris Cowan-Hall missing up front due to a training injury, there was little creativity going forward for Gareth Ainsworth side. LEFT-BACK ON LOAN

Wanderers confirmed on Friday afternoon the signing of Wigan Athletic midfielder Jordan Mustoe on an initial one-month loan. The 22 year old has been with The Latics since 2009 following time with the Liverpool youth setup but has been restricted to just four First Team appearances (all cup ties). However, he has gained experience during loan spells with Barnet, Morecambe, Carlisle United and most recently Bury, who he played for in The Shakers 2-1 victory at Adams Park in October 2013. Commenting on the signing, Gareth Ainsworth said, "We haven’t got the biggest budget to work with which we understand, so it’s great to be able to call upon our close contacts at Wigan. We appreciate their and Uwe Rosler’s help." The Wycombe boss added, "We’re still working on strengthening the squad so we’ll see what else we can do." Mustoe has been allocated the No. 28 shirt in the Wanderers squad and will be available to play against Oxford United on Saturday. |

SUNDERLAND RECALL KNOTT

It was confirmed on Monday afternoon that Sunderland midfielder Billy Knott had been recalled early from his loan with Wanderers by the Premiership side. The loan deal was due to end on 29th January 2014. Knott, now 21, originally signed a month deal for Wanderers at the end of August 2013, before extending the deal twice. He totalled 23 appearances for the Wanderers, scoring on two occasions - in the 3-0 victory at Plymouth and the 2-1 home success over Bristol City in the Football League Trophy. |

Wanderers drew 1-1 at 9th placed Morecambe on Saturday despite having the better of play and taking the lead four minutes before the break when Paris Cowan-Hall headed in his fifth goal of the season. The hosts eventually got back on level terms on 78 minutes when substitute Joe Mwasile broke down the right before finding Andy Fleming, whose cross to the near post was headed home by Kevin Ellison. GAMES REARRANGED

Wanderers' recently postponed games against Fleetwood Town and Exeter City and now both been re-arranged. The home match with Fleetwood Town is now scheduled for Tuesday 11th February, while the away game at Exeter City is set for Tuesday 25th February. Any original tickets purchased for these games will be valid for the re-arranged dates. |

DATE FOR B&B SEMI

Wanderers have confirmed the date for their meeting with Beaconsfield SYCOB in the Semi-Final of Berks & Bucks Senior Cup. Having, conceeded home advantage, Wycombe will travel to Beaconsfield on Tuesday 21st January, kick-off 7.45pm. Entrance prices are £8 adults, £4 seniors, £2 children. The other semi-final will see Aylesbury United entertain Chesham United. Beaconsfield beat Marlow 3-1 at home at the Quarter-Final stage, following Wycombe's semi-final win over Slough Town at Beaconsfield's ground. |

FLETCHER BACK AT AP

18 year old central defender Tom Fletcher is back at Adams Park following the end of his loan spell with Conference South side Bishop's Stortford. Fletcher, who joined Wanderers in July 2013 from Cheshunt, has made one brief First Team appearance during his time at Wycombe - coming on for the final minute of the Football League Trophy tie at Exeter on 3rd September 2013. He made eight First Team appearances while at Stortford. |

GK COACH LEAVES

The Club confirmed on Thursday the departure of goalkeeping coach Lee Harrison in order to take up the position of 'Technical Head of Goalkeeping' at a Premiership club. COTN understands the 42 year old is set to join West Ham United following his final day at Wycombe on Saturday (4th January 2014). The Club have said they are seeking a replacement for Harrison who joined Wanderers in August 2012. |

CANN-SVARD DEPARTS

The Club confirmed through their official Twitter feed on Thursday (2nd Jan) that Danish midfielder Sebastian Cann-Svärd had left Wanderers 'for personal reasons' and was 'returning to Germany'. The 30-year-old, who has had spells in England with Arsenal and Stoke City, joined Wycombe in October 2013 on a short term deal. He played one Berks & Bucks game for the Wanderers but failed to make a Fisrt Team appearance. It's understood he has since joined Thai Premier League side Songkhla United. |

EXETER AWAY POSTPONED
(Wednesday 1st January 2014)
Wanderers' New Years Day meeting away to Exeter City was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. The match referee inspected the pitch around 12 noon on the day of the game and made his decision following the heavy overnight rain in Devon, which had continued almost non-stop on the day of the match. Wycombe's next scheduled game is now the home meeting with Wimbledon on Saturday (4th January - kick-of 3pm). |
