Background: Originally a youngster at Aldershot Town before signing pro terms with Reading at the age of 17. Moved back to Aldershot on loan after failing to break into The Royals First Team and went on to have further loan spells at Forest Green Rovers, Hayes and Crawley Town before a permanent move to the latter during the 2006/7 season.
Signed for Cambridge United in the summer of 2007 and scored 17 goals during his debut season. His goal scoring exploits attracted the attention of neighbours Peterborough United where he played initially on loan before a fee of £115,000 made the deal permanent. However, his time at London Road was mainly spent away on loan, including the second half of the 2008/9 season back at Cambridge United where he scored 13 times in 26 Conference games. In the summer of 2009 he then agreed a season long loan with Torquay United, where he managed to hit the net 12 times in 35 League Two games.
The 23 year old joined Wycombe on a three year deal in July 2010 for an 'und isclosed fee', although the fee was later revealed to be £125,000.
Enjoyed a successful first season with the Wanderers, becoming top scorer with 21 goals from all competitions, as Wycombe won promotion to 'League One' under Gary Waddock. However, he struggled the following season and was eventually loaned out to Bristol Rovers for a month in October 2011. After a brief return to Adams Park, where he made two further appearances as substitute, he signed a loan deal with Oxford United in January 2012 until the end of the 2011/12 campaign.
On 20 June 2012 Rendell signed for then Conference side Luton Town on a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
