Background: Former Wanderers Youth Teamer who despite being allocated a squad number for the first time towards the end of the 1999/2000 season, had to wait until the arrival of Tony Adams in November 2003 before being offered a serious chance in the First Team.
Originated from Wanderers Centre of Excellence and gained numerous playing honours on the way. Appeared for an FA Youth XI in March 2000 along with fellow Wycombe Youth Teamers, Roger Johnson and Leeyon Phelan and then in February 2001 when he was selected for the Republic of Ireland Under 17 side. In July 2001 he was picked for the Under 18 side to tour Japan while the 2001/2 season saw more International call-ups with brief appearances for the Under 19's at a tournament in Cork during November 2001. A goal on his full debut at Under 19 level during a friendly against Portugal in February 2002 was followed by selection to play in the UEFA Under 19 tournament in Norway in July 2002.
Spent three months on loan to Conference side Woking from October 2002 to December 2002 where he finally made his debut at senior First Team level. Returned to Wycombe where his involvement with the Irish national side persuaded Lawrie sanchez to his contract until June 2004. Spent another month on loan at Woking in October 2003 before impressing Tony Adams enough to be given a regular place in the Wanderers First Team. Offered a new one year contract until June 2005 at the end of the 2003/4 season but on reduced terms and eventually decided to join Crawley Town in the Conference.
