Background:
A product of the Wanderers youth system who had short loan spells with both Burnham and Wealdstone before making his Wycombe First Team debut when he came on as substitute in the match with Shrewsbury Town at Adams Park on 25th September 2010. Went on to make ten more substitute appearances for the Wanderers during 2010/11.

Loaned out to Conference side Hayes & Yeading at the start of the 2011/12 season and scored within nine minutes of his debut but later in the same match dislocated his ankle - sidelining the youngster for several months. Eventually returned to action for Wanderers First Team on 4th February 2012 when he was a last minute sub in the home meeting with Tranmere Rovers. Went on to make his first start in a League One match at Scunthorpe on 3rd March 2012 and celebrated with his first goal on 86 minutes during a 4-1 defeat.

Began to hit the spotlight the following season with 11 League goals in 27 appearances - including braces in consecutive games against Rotherham and Burton in November 2012. In February 2013 signed a new deal with the Wanderers running until June 2015.

Alongside his progress at Wycombe, McClure made his international debut for the Northern Ireland under-19 team against Switzerland in April 2009. He received his first call-up to the Northern Ireland under-21 squad on 3 May 2012, for the European U21 Championship qualifier against Macedonia and made his debut on 10 May 2012 as an 86th-minute substitute.

Struggled with form and injuries during the 2013/14 and 2014/15 season's, although still managing to hit the net 12 times in those two seasons. Was infamously red-carded within a few seconds of coming on as substitute in the League Two game at Tranmere on 3rd March 2015. Featured as a late substitute in the 2nd Leg Play-Off Semi-Final against Plymouth Argyle on 14th May 2015 - the victory seeing Wycombe reach Wembley where McClure was an unused substitute the day before he was released by Manager Gareth Ainsworth. McClure commented via social media: "Thoroughly enjoyed my time at WWFC, just gutting we couldn't make it over the line!"
