Background:
It was announced on Monday 3rd September 2018 that Wanderers had added additional goalkeeping cover with the signing of 19-year-old Cameron Yates for the remainder of the 2018/19 season. The Scottish born player joined Wanderers after time with the Leicester City youth academy and a short short trial at Adams Park. He was allocated No.13 in the Wycombe squad.

Spent on a month on loan at Aylesbury United during October and November 2018 and had to wait until October 2019 to make his competitive debut for Wanderers, playing 90 minutes in the 1-0 defeat to Stevenage in a Football League Trophy tie at Adams Park. Made two further FLT appearances for Wycombe during the COVID affected 2019/20 campaign before seeing his contract extended for a further 12 months.
