Background: Joined Wycombe at the age of 15 having previously had spells with Arsenal and Watford. Originally played at centre-half but converted to striker during the 2000/1 season where he seemed more comfortable and scored a number of goals for Wanderers Under 19's.
The 6'4" player went onto to gain experience as a striker for Wanderers' Reserves during the 2001/2 season before being called upon for a surprise First Team debut in the Division Two game at Brighton in March 2002. Leach's debut came after Mark Rogers was forced to pull out due to a family bereavement and meant that the youngster played back in his old centre-half position. His task wasn't made easier as he was forced to try and deal with scoring sensation Bobby Zamora but despite being on the losing side, he'll have enjoyed his rare chance in the limelight.
His older brother, Nick, is a former Youth Teamer with Wycombe.
