Background:
Portuguese born player who joined Wanderers on 23rd May 2014 on a two year deal following the expiration of his contract at fellow League Two side Cheltenham Town.

The 26 year old spent three years at Cheltenham, making 134 First Team apps and scoring five times. He originally played youth football with Sporting Lisbon but moved to England at the age of 18 having found his opportunities limited. He initially played on trial at Exeter City before switching to then Conference National side Weymouth. A move to Basingstoke Town followed in 2008 and he became the supporters Player of the Season before a move to Bath City 12 months later. He made close to 100 apps for City before signing for Cheltenham Town in July 2011 for a nominal fee. He made his Football League debut in August 2011 and scored his first goal a couple of months later.

Jombati has lined-up against Wycombe several times in his career - the most recent, prior to his arrival at Wycombe, was the 1-1 draw at Whaddon Road in March 2014 where he provided the the left sided cross for Byron Harrison to head home the opener.

Speaking at the time of the signing Wycombe Manager Gareth Ainsworth said: “I’ve seen Sido play many times and he’s always caught my eye. He’s tall, very quick, athletic and good on the ball. He's also an outstanding professional and I’m sure he’ll be a really good addition to the squad. He’s got great experience of this level from his time at Cheltenham and he will fit in well here."

His first season at Wycombe saw him become an ever-present member of the side, appearing in every minute of Wanderers' opening 39 League and Cup games of the 2014/15 campaign before a training injury cruelly ruled him out for the remainder of the season.

Scored his first Wanderers goal the following season (2015/16) with a long range strike in a 4-0 victory at Halifax in the FA Cup on 8th November 2015. His consistent performances over the season earnt him a two year contract extension in May 2016.

Was in and out of the side in the following two seasons but was part of the team that won promotion to League One at Chesterfield in April 2018 and subsequently awarded another two year extension to his contract by Manager Gareth Ainsworth. Commenting at the time of the new deal, Ainsworth said: "Sido is someone we know we can rely upon to do a job all across the back four and his versatility and experience will be vital for us as we prepare for life in League One. He’s played a big part in this club’s progress over the past four years and I’m thrilled that he’s agreed to stay."
