Background: A former Crystal Palace trainee who actually made one brief trial appearance for Wycombe in July 2003 during a pre-season friendly with Spurs at Adams Park. Also made an international appearance for Ghana against Nigeria on 30 May 2003 before going on to play in Sweden for Ljungskile. Returned to England to sign for Conference side Aldershot Town in January 2004. Signed a one year contract for The Shots in July 2004 and although he was briefly put on the transfer list during the subsequent season, he was a regular in a side that reached the Conference play-off semi-final. Trained with Wycombe after the conclusion of the 2004/5 campaign and was signed by John Gorman on a two year deal shortly afterwards. At 6'3", his height gives him presence in defence and he is also said to hold the ball up well in midfield. Commenting on the deal to the Wanderers official website, Gorman said "He's only 22, he's a big strong lad and a good athlete and we think there's something there to make a really good player for the future." The Wycombe boss added, "Will has got a great attitude and hopefully, along with the other new players, he'll be a great signing for the club." Unfortunately for Antwi and Wycombe, a groin injury carried over from his time at Aldershot became problematic during his first training session with Wycombe and it took prolonged treatment, including surgery in Germany, before a return to full training was possible in January 2006, his reserve debut in February 2006 and eventual First Team debut on 8th April 2006.
