BOARD APPOINT NEW DIRECTOR
(Monday 8th January 2001)

Adams ParkWycombe have appointed their fourth new Director of the season as the changes behind the scenes at Adams Park continue. Mike Greatwood, whose name was leaked to the press in December, will take the role in dealing with "Customer Relations and Safety Arrangements" at Adams Park.

Writing in his New Years message in Wycombe's matchday programme, Club Chairman Ivor Beeks said "We welcome Mike who has achieved a great deal in his life at an early age and trust he can do the same at Wycombe"

Making way for Greatwood is long serving Director Gerald Cox. Cox has stepped down as Director after nearly 30 years of service for The Wanderers. Cox joined the Committee in 1971 and later became Treasurer prior to the formation of the Limited company in the mid 1980's. He will continue as an Associate Director.

30 something Greatwood's arrival coincides with a mystery backer loaning The Wanderers £150,000 as part of a loan-note scheme. The response to the ten year interest free loans has been described by the Club as 'good' and the donors are expected to be issued with certificates in the near future.

The Commercial Department has also been strengthened by the addition of a 47 year old Mike Sullivan. Sullivan has experience with a number of Football League Clubs, most recently Crystal Palace. Director of Sales of Marketing, Mark Austin, also writing in the matchday programme said "I am delighted that Mike Sullivan has agreed to join the Club this month as our new Sales & Marketing Manager. I have known Mike for over eight years and will do my best to introduce him to you all as soon as possible."
