| WYCOMBE'S NUMBER ONE FANZINE RETURNS ON THE NET... | |
We're not just going to make up the numbers! Watch in awe as Bates keeps Owen in his pocket, Cousins teaches Robbie Fowler how to play football and Brown and Gerrard spark off all manner of handbags. This one is just too close to call and could go either way. TAF predicts the Wanderers to earn a place in the final on penalties after an epic 4:4 draw after extra time. Despite the rigours of extra-time on Sunday Wycombe cruise to an easy victory over a struggling Swansea side. Paul McCarthy maintains his excellent scoring record with another goal form a set-play and Guy Whittingham opens his Blues account with a well-taken volley. TAF predicts a 2:0 win for Wycombe. Still buoyed the Semi Final result the Wanderers say a thank you to the Blue Army with a comfortable win over Wales' top side. Wrexham will finish the game with ten men after Darren Ferguson does an impression of his dad and gets in a huge bum sweat when a decision doesn't go his way. TAF predicts a 2:0 win for the Blues. Always a tricky game yet City can have problems breaking the Blues down at Ashton Gate. A typically stubborn away performance earns Wycombe a point with Mickey Bell leaving the ground in tears after being soundly abused by the travelling fans. TAF predicts a boring 0:0. One time Premier outfit Swindon come to Adams Park scrapping for survival in the Second Division. A scrappy affair will see the Blues win all three points as a result of comical defending from the West Country no hopers. TAF predicts 2:1 to Wycombe. The Blues will be looking for revenge after being comprehensively beaten by Bournemouth at Adams Park earlier in the season. However, although Bournemouth have left it too late for the play-offs expect to see Wycombe come away from Dean Court without any points. TAF predicts a 3:1 win for the Cherries. The Magpies will still be in with a shout of the play-offs and will expect to win this fixture. Mark Stallard will no doubt run around for five minutes then get knackered but County's pressure will show in the end. A shocking referee decision will cost the Blues a last minute penalty (possibly). TAF predicts a 1:0 win for Notts County. With both teams now safe this will be as much fun as watching Countdown. Wycombe will score from a corner. Bury, stung into action by the Blues goal will charge down the other end ad equalise and that will be it. TAF predicts a 1:1 draw. Rovers still don't seem to have recovered from a disastrous end to last season and have a dreadful record at home. However, with the fixture pile-up catching up with Wycombe this should be a drab affair with neither side really managing to get going. TAF predicts a boring 0:0 draw. Unfortunately the team we all love to hate will have secured Second Division football by now. However, the Wanderers will be warming up for the FA Cup final and will sweep the Essex tossers aside with a show of flowing attacking football. A couple of C@l Utd will try to act hard but will be beaten up by kids in the Family Stand. TAF predicts a glorious 3:0 win for the Chairboys. I'm not going to predict the FA Cup Final result, as we will be doing a The Adams Family special prior to the big game. If any of the predictions are wrong, please don't write in - if I could see into the future I wouldn't have bought a Betamax video player! Doug Peters Back to TAF April/May 2001 Index >>> |
