Match report

Wanderers Ladies Reserves v Morris Motors
Sunday 13th October 2002

The Reserves secured another three points against Oxford based Morris Motors with a 2-1 home victory. Blues took the lead in the first half after Tahli Jenkinson played a ball into Leah Asante who pulled it back into Laura Coull’s path for her to score her first goal for Wycombe. But in wet and windy conditions the game took a good 45 minutes to really get going; the second half was played at a much faster pace and Wanderers created plenty of chances. Neither Asante nor Steph Dean could make all the pressure count and against the run of play it was the visitors who put the ball in the back of the net. A freekick squirmed through Buttons’ hands just when it looked like she had it safely and the game was level. The winner came from a Dean corner, Coull played the ball back out wide for Dean to swing in from a better angle and Leanne Palfrey finished to secure all 3 points.
