Reserves match report

Wanderers Ladies Reserves v Milton
Sunday 26th January 2003 Click here for Picture Gallery for this game

After a close first half, Wycombe ran out 4-0 winners in a physical game against Milton United.
At the break a single goal scored by Becks Mellor from Tahli Jenkinson’s throw separated the teams. A second half hat-trick from “Twinkle” Stephanie Dean, however, made the victory that keeps the team top of the B&B FA County league, look more comfortable than perhaps it was. The first was a tap in from a well delivered corner; the second was a solo effort from a through ball from “Freddie” Loretta Semmons-Doel and the third rewarded Twinkle’s persistence as she ignored calls for a penalty and knocked the ball over the advancing keeper.

Player of the Match was awarded to right back "Freddie" for her solid all round performance and some important tackles, while Roisin Nellis made a successful return to the side after injury.
