SHIRT SPONSOR PRESS RELEASE
(Wednesday 25th June 2003)
Loans shirtThe club officially announced the new First Team shirt sponsors for season 2003/4 in a Press Conference at Adams Park on Wednesday 25th June. The Press release is reproduced in full below.

The Club is delighted to announce that the new Official Club and Shirt Sponsors are Loans.co.uk Ltd. Having supported the Club since the start of the 1993/94 season and recently sponsored the Club’s 10th Anniversary Dinner with guest speaker Martin O’Neill, it seems rather fitting that Loans.co.uk should become the Club’s new Official Club and Shirt Sponsors during the Club’s 10th Anniversary in the Nationwide Football League. Steve Hayes, Managing Director of Loans.co.uk Ltd has supported the Club ever since his life-long friend, Terry Evans signed for the Blues from Brentford in September 1993.

Over the last three seasons alone, Loans.co.uk have sponsored one Wycombe Wanderers match and one ball or matchday programme every season, notably the fifth round FA Cup 2-2 draw against Premiership Wimbledon in 2001, Reading in 2002 and Brentford in 2003.

Last season Loans.co.uk sponsored two of the Clubs four Sportsman’s Dinners and took a table of 10 at all of them. This coming season they have already very kindly agreed to sponsor the West Ham United pre-season friendly at 7.45pm on Tuesday 29th July and the Watford pre-season friendly at 3pm on Saturday 2nd August. Both these home match sponsorships are in addition to their Club Sponsorship. Loans.co.uk have also very kindly agreed to purchase a new player’s tunnel at entirely their own expense.

The Club is therefore absolutely delighted that such a pro-active and supportive Club Sponsor such as Loans.co.uk has signed up for at least the next two seasons. The basic two-year deal is worth in excess of six figures in cash terms, which is a significant assistance in enabling the Club to compete in the Nationwide Football League.

The Blues Director of Sales & Marketing, Mark Austin commented: “Given the current market conditions, it is no secret that the Club had to put in more effort than ever before to ensure the Club struck the right sort of deal with a new Shirt Sponsor. Wycombe Wanderers Football Club is both extremely fortunate to have teamed up with Loans.co.uk, but is also extremely grateful to have found such an enthusiastic and very willing partner.”

Steve Hayes, Managing Director of Loans.co.uk Ltd, said: “Our relationship with the Blues has progressed over the years and we are delighted that it has now reached official club sponsor status. This is great partnership for both organizations and everyone at Loans.co.uk can’t wait to see our brand adorn the Wycombe shirt next season.”
