BRUCE HOPES FOR BETTER COMBINATION
(Thursday 12th July 2001)

Michael Forsyth - picture Paul Dennis New Wycombe Reserve team boss Michael Forsyth will be hoping he can lead his squad to an improved campaign in the Avon Insurance Combination during the 2001/2002 campaign. The Wanderers have yet to finish outside of the bottom five since they joined the Combination in season 1998/99.

There is just one change to the make up of the League for season 2001/2002. Fulham have left to join the FA Premier Reserve section and they have been replaced with Cardiff City. Teams play each other just once during the season and Wycombe have been spared the long trip to Cardiff as they are to entertain the Welsh on Wednesday 20th February 2002.

The season kicks-off on Wednesday August 15th with a trip to The County Ground to play Swindon Town. The first home game is scheduled for Wednesday 4th September when Oxford United are due to be the visitors to Adams Park. Entrance to all home Reserve games at Adams Park is free to Wycombe Season Ticket holders and Supporters' Club members. Games generally kick-off at 2pm but as always with reserve games, please check up before travelling because the fixtures are likely to change.
