EXTENDED RADIO COVERAGE
(Friday 10th August 2001)

News round-up
The Club have finalised an agreement with local radio station 1170am to broadcast ALL League games this season, home AND away. It will be the first time that commentary will be available for matches from Adams Park. In another change to the usual schedules, Blues News, previously on a Thursday evening, will now be a pre-recorded version to be broadcast at 2.40pm on Saturday's. The first programme of the 2001/2002 season will be broadcast before the opening game at Cardiff on Saturday 11th August.

Those changes have brought a mixed response from Wycombe fans who fear that it may have a negative effect on home attendances. However, there was good news in that BBC Three Counties radio will be covering Wycombe for the first time this season, starting with the trip to Cardiff. A spokesman told COTN "We plan to have regular reports and updates during every Wanderers match and on days/nights that the Blues don't clash with Watford, Luton and Stevenage, full commentary. Our daily sports bulletins will cover Wycombe news and our Friday night sports programme Teamtalk (between 6-8) will feature Wanderers". Lawrie Sanchez has been invited to be on most weeks.

Three Counties Radio can be found on the following frequencies on FM - Beds 95.5, Milton Keynes and Bucks 104.5, Herts 103.8. Mediumwave frequency 630.
